Meet Dr. Ngwashi Christabel, MD, MSc, a medical doctor with over 5 years of experience spanning clinical medicine, public health, and management consulting. She holds an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine from the University of Oxford, UK, and earned her medical degree from the University of Buea, Cameroon.
With experience across Africa and Europe, she has expertise in areas such as quality improvement strategies for hospitals and health systems, incorporating research evidence, digital innovation, sustainable financing, and patient-centered frameworks.
Presently, she works at the World Bank as a health specialist (YP). Before that, she worked at McKinsey & Company as a management consultant, helping both public and private sector clients across the Health, Life Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Products practices to address complex challenges. This dynamic doctor also worked as an Africa Fellow with the World Bank Africa HNP team, focusing on Uganda. With an understanding of quality improvement models from her work with the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and expertise in economic evaluations, she efficiently uses limited resources, especially in developing countries, to optimize healthcare delivery and public health systems.
Dr. Ngwashi Christabel is also an award-winning writer and a bilingual public speaker in the global health and youth empowerment discourse. As a public health researcher, she has co-authored multiple publications, such as Evaluation of the Impact of a Digital Health Information Management System in Kenya (IJHSR 2023); Incidence, Patterns, and Associated Factors of Blood Transfusion Reactions in a Tertiary Hospital in Cameroon (ISBT 2021); and How to Consult Dr. Google (Self-published 2020).
